Player Description:
Richard McAfee, a USATT certified national coach, saw potential in a kid and put everything he had into him. As a result, this kid, T.J., grew up in a world of his own as the best junior in the U.S. T.J., a bi-winged offensive looper with a specialty in an extraordinary backhand, continued his reign until he took some time off from Table Tennis for college. When he came back to the Table Tennis arena, he discovered that the same opponents he’d beat with his eyes closed where beating him. Shortly thereafter, his inner flamed was stoked and T.J. went on to reclaim the Table Tennis throne in Atlanta again after burning off over 50 lbs. Everyday, foreigners, God bless their hearts, do an excellent job of reminding Americans why we are not skilled enough to compete with the rest of the world in Table Tennis. But T.J. just happens to be one of the few home-grown Table Tennis players in the U.S. who continues to hold down the fort.
